f'cap8vo, revised, corrected, and illustrated with notes, and an appendix, by the author, pp,[2],xvi,343,8,[2], tissue-guarded engraved frontispiece, extra title-page with vignette, original publisher's brown cloth with gilt titled lettering-pieces to the spine which are a bit chipped with a little loss, uncut, early bookbinder's ticket to the rear paste-down endpaper, foxing to the frontispiece and the title-pieces, light age-toning to the text, a decent copy of an item not often found in good condition.

Morier was a British Diplomat [1782-1849] noted for his novels about the Qajar Dynasty in Iran.

First published in 1828.
