f'cap8vo, first edition, pp,viii,206, gilt titled blind panelled green cloth which has some general wear and two very small cracks to the joints, yellow endpapers, speckled fore-edge, early bookbinder's ticket to the rear paste-down endpaper, some mild fingering to text, an acceptable copy.
The work was issued in "Scribner's Monthly Magazine", and published in advance of that serial, in order that the rights of copyright were fully maintained.
